Carrie Davis is Camp No Limit’s Patient Advocate and Support Group Leader. Carrie is a patient advocate for Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics National Upper Extremity Program.  She educates doctors, therapists, patients, and families on prosthetic options, and issues associated with adjusting to upper extremity limb loss.  Carrie has a congenital below elbow amputation. As a child, she chose to participate in activities based on whether or not she felt that she could complete tasks successfully without embarrassment.  Carrie now knows that she can do anything and that there are devices out there that can help her attain any goal.  Carrie is a triathlete, she water skis, and can play the guitar. Carrie has teamed up with Mary to create the first satellite camp in the Northwest at the Coeur d’Alene Lake in Idaho. Carrie’s motto is “Life isn’t about finding yourself; it’s about creating yourself.” 

Matthew Daniels, CP

 Matt grew up on a horse farm in Kentucky where he was in an accident involving farm machinery. Matt endured trauma from the accident that caused him to lose his leg below the knee. As a result of the accident he also became a diabetic. He had 23 revision surgeries and about 900 stitches. Despite the accident Matt went on and played every sport that he could as a teenager. He played high school football, baseball, and was on the swim team receiving a letter for each team. He also enjoys hiking, fishing, biking, disc golf, and reading. He has also been in the prosthetic field for 12 years. He started as a prosthetic technician at the age of 16 and has been a certified prosthetist for 4 years. Matt is currently relocating to California to continue his work as a prosthetist in the bay area.  His favorite color is black and he likes all kinds of music and can play the drums! 

Scott Hebert CPO

 Scott is the area practice manager and certified prosthetist and orthotist for Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics based out of Waterville, Maine.  Scott graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh, PA and completed his residency in 1996.   When Scott was 2 ½ years old he suffered a traumatic injury to his foot in a lawn mower accident.  A team of doctors were able to save his leg however the injuries that he sustained provided complications that lead to an amputation below the knee at the age of 12.  Scott has made it his career to fabricate prosthetics and orthotics with a personal understanding of his patient’s concerns and needs.  Scott is a C-leg provider and has completed various training seminars in the field of prosthetics and orthotics.

Cameron Clapp, 

Lost 3 limbs in a train accident,  shares his experience and how he has maintained a positive attitude stating “I wasn’t going to let myself wither away of feel bad about myself. I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Chad Thompson:  Chad is a Customer Support Representative for Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics in Maine.  Chad provides support and education to amputees as a peer advocate.  Chad has also completed the ACA peer counselor training program and is a certified peer counselor through the ACA (Amputee Coalition of America).  Chad has been an amputee for 13 years.  At the age of 18 he lost his leg as a result of a hunting accident.  Two years ago Chad underwent the Ertl procedure (www.ertlreconstruction.com).  Chad has made it his goal to provide support to all amputees.  Chad has been instrumental in setting up amputee support groups throughout the state of Maine.  Chad realizes the importance of providing support to young amputees and finding the avenues and the programs available for support for children with limb loss.  Chad has worked closely with Mary to develop the necessary connections to various foundations and recreational programs such as the Challenged Athletes Foundation and the Amputee Coalition of America to provide necessary resources for all our campers. 

Loi Ho is an adult congenital amputee and recent graduate from the Newington Certificate Program in Connecticut for Prosthetics and Orthotics.  Loi Ho will share with us her experiences in competing in the O & P Extremity Games.  Loi placed first in the women’s rock climbing competition 2006 and 2007.  Loi is now living in Naples, Florida planning to work as a prosthetist.  Loi has been a valued volunteer at Camp No Limits in Maine for 3 years now!   

Brooke T. Artesi (Prosthetist and Orthotist for Garden State Orthopaedics in New Jersey and she will also be a role model for our campers!)  Brooke has been instrumental in promoting Camp No Limits and has even travelled to California and is planning to also attend our Florida camp as well!  Brooke recently attended the Extremity Games in Michigan and came in 3rd place in kayaking.  Brooke is below knee amputee.

Ariel Rigney: Below knee amputee as a result of a car accident about a 1 ½ ago.  Ariel is a college student and has competed in the Endeavor games in the 100 and 200 meter dash.  Ariel attended both Maine and California camps!

Joshua Kennison: Josh is a quadrilateral amputee and skilled athlete and has been involved with camp Maine since 2005 Josh has been a great role model and has been involved with camp with soccer lessons and instruction!  Josh’s enthusiasm and positive attitude infectious!  Gina Basso, PT (Recent Graduate Student in Physical Therapy) This is Gina’s second camp with us!  Gina will be available to help with all the physical therapy sessions.Jeff Erenstone, CPO: Jeff is an Orthotist and Prosthetist in private practice in New York.  Jeff has volunteered with our camp for the last 3 years and Jeff has taken the liberty to organize the sibling program.  Jeff is a great problem solver and helps with making recreational adaptations with a specialty with biking.Tom Mesick, CPO (Prothetist and Orthotist for Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics Springfield, MA and amputee hockey instructor)  This will be Tom’s 3rd camp with us!  We can always count on Tom to help us with set up and MC with talent night!Rob Ashton, PTA Rob is a physical therapy assistant, personal trainer, and massage therapist.  Rob has experience working with children with developmental and physical delays and plays an instrumental role and assisting with the physical therapy sessions!Michelle Buckley, Board Member and camp administrator who volunteers her time manage the “books” and keeps the camp foundation together!  The behind the scenes work is primarily organized and completed by Michelle so PLEASE make sure to thank Michelle for keeping us organized!

Anne Beaulieau, COTA/L (Occupational Therapy Assistant assisting with arts and crafts).  Anne has been one of our volunteers always willing to do anything from clean up, arts and crafts, and being the “taxi” service for many of our campers!Cher Parmenter, COTA/L (Occupational Therapy Assistant assisting with all needs!  Cher has been a huge help with the behind the scenes for camp completing mailings and other administrative tasks.Rosemary Fowler, OTS (Occupational Therapy Student from Husson College) This will be Rosemary’s second camp with us and this year she will have her son David with her to help!Jim Damicis (Father of Adrienne Damicis and Magic tricks demonstrator)Patrick Damicis: Sibling of Adrienne.  Patrick will be helping with the sibling program.

Shirley Madore (Volunteer Photographer)Sandra Findlay (Speech and Language Therapist and Board Member)Tracie Wims (Parent of Isaiah and assistant with Arts and Crafts).  Tracie travels all the way from Maryland to attend with her wonderful husband Kirk 3 years in a row!!!Melissa Moreau: (Board Member and mother of Keegan!) Melissa has been instrumental in organizing activities and being our volunteer coordinator.

Lori Bradshaw (Office Associate for Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics) This will be Lori’s second camp and Lori will be helping with and managing our registration table and merchandise.   Lisa Curran (Registered Medical Assistant at Eastern Maine Medical Center for Surgery and Trauma of Maine and many years of experience volunteering at numerous summer camps for children).  Lisa has been instrumental in helping with the behind the scenes and organizing and planning of camp.Amber Tobey (Physical Therapist working in pediatrics with experience in fishing and kayaking!)  Amber has her own private practice “Get Up and Grow Therapy” in Gardiner, Maine.Kristen Schrepper (Occupational Therapy Student from the University of New England).  This will be Kristen’s second time coming to camp in Maine!Mark Delmar, CPO (Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist for Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics in Waterville, Maine) will be available to discuss upper extremity options and insight from working with several of our campers.  Mark works closely with the National Upper Extremity Program of Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics so that he can meet the needs of our local upper extremity amputees.The Hyde Group: Bill Barron is the leader of the this group and they help with set up and clean up of camps, assisting with lifeguarding, set up of activities, and setting up for lunch!  We are very grateful to have their help for the second year in a row.Jim and Tara Burrill: Tara is a congenital below elbow amputee available to share her experiences with us and Jim is here to entertain us!John Vacca: John is a below knee amputee and also part of the Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) and Northeast representative.

Jeremy Hines: New England Representative for Ottobock Health Care.  Jeremy assisted as needed here in Maine and was even willing to be part of the "full camping experience" this year!

Dan Selleck: Dan is a prosthetist in Newport Beach, CA who has aided in the development and set up of our California camp!

Laura Ellis:Our volunteer for California there to keep us organized!  Laura is a Hockey trainer in Southern California and loves spending time with our camp in California assisting with all our needs!
